It's kind of exciting that Jonathan (see sidebar for identical link) has chosen to link to this blog (as well as the other one which will see some love within the week). It's an honor. What's more exciting is that he refers to me as "JC!", which I haven't done in a few years. Back then, that was basically my name-- it was on my door, it was the signature I used on homework assignments, etc. It was my handle on message boards, and a perfect three-letter name for high score screens. Hell, even my display name for emails was JC!

I guess as I have transitioned into a depressed, social-anxiety type dude, the exclamation point started to seem ostentatious and inappropriate. But no more! I am reclaiming that shit starting right now. Thanks to Jonathan for the inspiration.

First off, I'd like to thank my commenters for the happy posts. I'd like to say I'm past the point where I need this kind of encouragement, but... well, maybe I am. In any case, the support is appreciated. I'm glad I have friends who want me to be happy and, uh, career-ful.

Saturday Mary took me on a surprise date that was supposed to have been for Valentine's Day, but was postponed for maximum surprise. First, the Houston Zoo, where we saw... you know, a whole bunch of animals. It was nice. We walked around for a few hours and talked and saw some adorable creatures. Then we had dinner at the Hobbit Cafe, which was cute and fun and delicious. I got the biggest black bean burger ever, which seemed to be basically a pound of black beans and rice on a wheat bun. I am totally going back. I'll try to bring the camera so I can sneak a picture of the rockin' amateur Gandalf-in-space painting in the bathroom.

Changed the template to get a better idea of the CSS stuff Blogger uses. Unless I can't figure out CSS, a new design is coming. Otherwise I'll go back to the JSR blue theme.
